How Presencia works for professionals
How you earn
At Presencia, you earn based on the connections you make — not hours logged on a platform. When a patient chooses you as their guide, that is called a Continue. Your earnings per hour grow as you build your reputation:
- Level 1 — Emerging (0–50 continues): €19/hr
- Level 2 — Growing (51–150 continues): €22/hr
- Level 3 — Trusted (151–400 continues): €27/hr
- Level 4 — Senior (401–800 continues): €41/hr
- Level 5 — Master (801+ continues): €41/hr + featured placement
Payments are processed automatically via Stripe. You connect your own bank account and receive payouts directly. No invoicing. No chasing.
How conversations work
When a patient starts a conversation, up to 3 professionals respond simultaneously. You will not see what the other professionals are writing — your response should be genuine and yours alone.
The patient then chooses one professional to continue with privately. If they choose you, your private 1:1 session begins and the hour starts.
You will see a typing indicator when the patient is active. The patient will also see when you are typing — so presence matters.
Response time
Presencia is built on the feeling of being heard immediately. We ask all professionals to respond within 30 minutes of a new conversation appearing in your queue.
Your average response time is tracked over 30 days — not on individual conversations. Life happens and we understand that. But consistently slow response times (average above 25 minutes over 30 days) will affect your level placement.
We recommend setting your status to Away when you are not available, so new conversations are not routed to you.
What we expect from you
- Respond with warmth and presence, not clinical distance
- Never leave a patient on read — if you cannot continue, send a closing message
- Do not discuss other platforms or attempt to move patients off Presencia
- Maintain your license and inform us immediately of any changes to your credentials
- Set your available hours honestly so patients know when to expect you

Legal requirements — what you need to know before joining
Presencia operates as a marketplace platform in the Netherlands and is fully GDPR compliant. Before going live on the platform, every professional must complete the following:
Independent Contractor Agreement
You are an independent professional using Presencia as your platform — not an employee of Presencia. By joining you confirm that you are responsible for your own taxes, social contributions, and professional insurance. Presencia is not your employer.
Platform Terms of Service
You agree to abide by Presencia's conduct standards, response time expectations, data handling rules, and patient privacy requirements as outlined in our Terms of Service.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
Under GDPR, all professionals who handle patient data through Presencia must sign a Data Processing Agreement. This is a legal requirement and non-negotiable. It protects both you and your patients.
All three documents will be sent to you via HelloSign before your account is activated. Your account will not go live until all documents are signed.
